The London high-speed metallers DragonForce are touring once more through Europe with their current album. The "Warp Speed Warriors - Final Round 2025" brings the full force for speed freaks and epic power metal fans to Pratteln.

45 ALIVE! WE CELEBRATE WITH THE HOOTERS

Hits like “All You Zombies,” “And We Danced,” “Johnny B,” “500 Miles,” or “Satellite” catapulted The Hooters to superstardom in the 1980s. With these timeless songs and numerous other titles from their long successful career, band founders Eric Bazilian, Rob Hyman, and David Uosikkinen are coming to Z7 for the “45th Anniversary Tour 2025.”

Under the motto “45 Alive,” The Hooters will return to Europe in the summer of 2025 to celebrate hits from four and a half decades of their band career. Founded in 1980, songwriters and producers Eric Bazilian and Rob Hyman delivered one of their biggest hits in 1981 with “All You Zombies”: The song climbed to number 17 on the German charts four years after its first release, reached number 3 on the US Mainstream Rock Charts, and was celebrated by 100,000 spectators at the Live Aid benefit concert in Philadelphia. By 1986, The Hooters already had four single hits to their name and were almost continuously on tour. The band now shared stages with artists such as U2, The Police, Bryan Adams, Lou Reed, and Peter Gabriel. In 1987, The Hooters released their third album “One Way Home,” which produced further immortal band classics with “Johnny B” and “Satellite.”

After numerous tours, The Hooters decided in 1995 to take a well-deserved break and focus on solo projects. Rob Hyman and Eric Bazilian also offered their talents as musicians and songwriters to other artists, including Mick Jagger, Joan Osborne (“One of Us”), John Bon Jovi, Robbie Williams (“Old Before I Die”), and Cyndi Lauper (“Time after Time”). In the early 2000s, however, the musicians came together again and toured with great success. Alongside Bazilian and Hyman, founding member David Uosikkinen, Johny Lilley (since 1983), and Fran Smith Jr (since 1988) were also part of the band. Since 2010, Tommy Williams has completed the band.

In 2023, The Hooters released the album “Rocking & Swing” after a sixteen-year hiatus and successfully toured around the world with it. The work brought the band back to their roots in the early 80s. With their unique blend of ska, reggae, and rock, they hit the mark with fans and critics alike. The recordings of some early songs that they had exclusively played live during their club concerts certainly contributed to this success. Two years after this release, The Hooters are coming to Z7 to look back on their great career with the “45th Anniversary Tour 2025” and celebrate their 45th birthday with the fans.

WIKINGER-GROOVE MEETS DISNEY MAGIC

Polish your drinking horns! Peyton Parrish is coming to Z7 to present his mix of metal, country, Disney, and Viking traditions. In August 2025, the powerful social media sensation will transform our rock temple into a hybrid of Disneyland and a Viking hall stadium, as no one brings the Viking feeling and selected Disney film melodies to the stage quite like the American. The pre-show features full-on metalcore from Dead By April.

The Vikings are on the loose. And Peyton Parrish is their leader. His videos have been viewed millions of times on YouTube. Alone, "Valhalla Calling" has generated over 54 million views. And on TikTok, the singer is breaking all dimensions. Parrish began his music career at the tender age of 16. He set up a YouTube channel and released his first videos. The foundation for his career was laid by Peyton Parrish in 2020 with a cover of the song "My Mother Told Me," which gained worldwide fame through the Viking role-playing game "Assassin’s Creed Valhalla" and the Netflix series "Vikings." In 2020, he finally released his debut album "Cowboy Man." This was followed by the Viking track "Ragnarök" and an emotional cover of the Cranberries hit "Zombie," further expanding his fan base. The album "Rise of Vikingr," inspired equally by Viking and metalcore, was released in 2021 with original songs and covers, featuring guest appearances by Lone Wolf and David Michael Frank. In 2023, Parrish applied his distinctive approach to a surprising album of Disney film songs. On "The Most Magical Album On Earth," he presents his versions of Disney classics like “I’ll Make A Man Out Of You,” “Hoist Your Colours,” and “Be Prepared.” Parrish's next album "Skalds Of Metal" includes a collaboration with the German medieval rock giants Saltatio Mortis. In 2024, the musical workhorse released three more albums: "Soul," "Kingdoms of Magical Rock," and the a cappella album "The Voice of Peyton Parrish." In February 2025, there will also be a limited edition "Unreleased Demos" album. After his celebrated performance at the Wacken Festival and successful tours through European clubs, the singer will return to our region in the fall of 2025 to present his unique sound mixture on stage.

BEAUTIFUL NEW PROG-WORLD

Pendragon, the uncrowned kings of melodic neo-prog, are going on tour in September for a few selected shows in Europe. A stop in Pratteln, of course, is a must. This year, the band led by mastermind Nick Barrett presents selected favorites from their rich back catalog along with the album "The World" in its entirety. A great opportunity to once again dive into the dreamily beautiful prog-rock world of Pendragon.

Pendragon are also coming to Pratteln this year, and they have a very special record in their touring luggage. The long player "The World" from 1991 was an immensely important step in Pendragon's career, as it defined the sound of the band for the next ten years (i.e., for 3 more albums and 2 EPs). Of course, there will be more gems, classics, and fan favorites from Pendragon's great repertoire alongside the masterpiece from 1991. Experience has shown that the shows last well over two hours. For the band's last visit to Z7 in May 2024, our friends from diebuehrers.com wrote: "Every song presented was devoured by the audience and visibly enjoyed. Time and again, Nick Barrett had one or another anecdote ready to introduce the songs. The setlist promised a long concert evening as the Pendragon pieces last on average around 8 minutes. Therefore, nearly 2 ½ hours of musical enjoyment were anticipated. A crazy event for progressive rock fans that surely left no wishes unfulfilled."

About the band's history: Founded in 1978 by mastermind Nick Barrett in the English county of Gloucestershire, Pendragon celebrated their first successes when their then-manager booked the rising band Marillion for a joint tour in 1982. The two bands understood each other perfectly, and further tours followed, during which Pendragon gradually expanded their fan base in the wake of the soaring Marillion. In 1983, they finally played in front of over 30,000 enthusiastic spectators at the legendary Reading Festival and recorded a session for the popular BBC radio show Tommy Vance’s Rock Show. Other milestones in the band’s history include the founding of their own label Toff Records in 1987 and the release of the album "The Masquerade Ouverture" in 1996, of which over 90,000 units were sold. Over the years, Pendragon solidified their position as one of the leading progressive rock bands in Great Britain with consistently high-quality releases. They toured regularly around the world, traveling to South America, the USA, Canada, and Japan, and played sold-out shows.

POWER METAL DOMINANCE

New album, new line-up - the Swabian power metal command Primal Fear will reclaim dominance in the German metal universe in 2025 with the album "Domination". The new record will be presented on September 5, just eleven days later, Mats Sinner and Ralf Scheepers will be joined by their long-time companion Magnus Karlsson and two new band members Thalìa Bellezecca and André Hilgers on their "Domination Tour 2025" at Z7.

Since 1997, Mat Sinner (bass, vocals) and Ralf Scheepers (vocals) have been with Primal Fear, keeping the flag of German power metal high. Fourteen studio and two live albums have been created in the past quarter-century. Most recently, Primal Fear entered the Swiss and German album charts at number 6 with "Code Red" in September 2023. Shortly after the release, the band delivered a celebrated concert at Z7. The band last performed in March 2024 as the opening act for U.D.O. Since then, quite a bit has happened. On August 23, 2024, they parted ways with guitarist Alex Beyrodt. Guitarist Tom Naumann and drummer Michael Ehré then also left the band. But Scheepers and Sinner were not deterred. In their new configuration, they began recording their next studio album "Domination" in the fall. Alongside the well-established guitarist Magnus Karlsson (since 2008), Thalìa Bellezecca (guitarist of our metal hero Angus McSix) and new drummer André Hilgers (ex-Rage, ex-Bonfire) will also be featured on the album. Bassist/vocalist Mat Sinner spoke in September: "We are already in the studio and can choose from about 25 songs, which makes us very happy." And singer Ralf Scheepers added: "It hasn't felt this great to record new songs for a long time, as it does with some of the new pieces." The upcoming album will once again be mixed and mastered by longtime Primal Fear companion Jacob Hansen in his studios in Denmark. The "Domination" album will be released in time for the tour start on September 5, 2025, by Reigning Phoenix Music. It will be produced by Sinner, Scheepers, and Karlsson, who will also perform live with the band again: "I can hardly wait to hit the stage with Primal Fear again. It will be incredible. We will create something very special together. Both live and in the studio. And I am so grateful to share this adventure with you metalheads. Metal is forever!"

On September 24, 2025, the legendary voice of rock, Glenn Hughes, returns to Z7. The former Deep Purple bassist and singer brings with him a two-hour musical journey through his impressive career, accompanied by his top-notch band.

Under the motto "The Chosen Years," Glenn Hughes presents the highlights of his five-decade-long career. From the early days with Trapeze to his time with Deep Purple and collaborations with Black Sabbath, Tony Iommi, and the duo Hughes/Thrall, to songs from Black Country Communion – Hughes takes listeners into the world of some of the most influential bands in rock history. In addition to the classics, the audience will also be surprised with brand-new music from his upcoming solo album announced for summer 2025.
Glenn Hughes, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member and current frontman of Black Country Communion, not only brings his unmistakable voice and distinctive bass playing to the stage. DEPARTURE INTO THE APOCALYPTIC MOOD

For fans of heavy and intense metal sound, the Ultima Ratio Fest is one of the top addresses. In 2025, the celebrated tour returns to Pratteln. And the current lineup is impressive: the headliner slot is occupied by the Gothenburg melodic death icon Dark Tranquillity, which released "Endtime Signals" in 2024, an album that hit the charts like never before in the band's 35-year history. The high-profile special guests Soen and Equilibrium, as well as the acclaimed opener Iotunn, complement this metal night for connoisseurs.

Dark Tranquillity are among the most important representatives of the Gothenburg school of melodic death metal, alongside In Flames, At The Gates, and Soilwork. The band, awarded the prestigious Swedish music prize Grammis in the Hardrock/Metal category in 2021, led by frontman Mikael Stanne, has been delivering albums of the highest quality for three and a half decades. Despite a nearly completely renewed lineup, Dark Tranquillity has maintained their impressive consistency, achieving unprecedented success in international charts with the current opus "Endtime Signals" in summer 2024. With 5th place in the Swiss charts, 6th in Germany, and 7th in Austria, they achieved the best rankings of their long career. However, success was not only reflected in album sales; music critics were also enthusiastic. They awarded the work Album of the Month or gave it top ratings. BEI MANITU - NEW MUSIC FROM RAGE!

Our record rockers Rage are celebrating the 2025 Z7 anniversary and paddling in the "Canoe of Manitu" to Pratteln. In October, the German metal institution will play with us for the 25th time. No other band has performed as often. Band founder Peavy Wagner calls the Pratteln rock temple a "Home away from home." For the anniversary gig, the musicians are bringing a brand new album. There will also be a re-release of the cult "Shoe of Manitu" soundtrack song "Straight To Hell," which will also be heard in the eagerly awaited sequel "The Canoe of Manitu" (in theaters from August 14). On the "A New World Rising Tour 2025," Rage will be accompanied by special guests "Mission in Black" and the opener "Emerald Sun."

For four decades, Peter "Peavy" Wagner has been active in the metal scene with his band Rage. From the debut "Prayers of Steel" in the 80s to highlights like the collaboration with the Lingua Mortis Orchestra and third place at the "Bundesvision Songcontest" in 2008, the musician has had a remarkable career. He recently released new albums with Jean Bormann (guitar) and Vassilios "Lucky" Maniatopoulos (drums). Peavy has continuously reinvented himself and looks back on a multitude of studio and live albums.

In 2024, Rage celebrated 40 years of heavy metal with the double album "Afterlifelines." The first CD "Afterlife" contains trio recordings, while the second, "Lifelines," combines metal with orchestral arrangements. The work reached the top 20 of the Swiss charts for the first time. For the anniversary, Peavy's biography "Soundchaser – Life Sentence Heavy Metal. My Life with Rage" was also released, filled with anecdotes and pictures from 40 years of band history. In 2025, a new studio album will be released, and Peavy and his band will perform in October at Z7 for the anniversary.

V curtain up for a little bit of horror show

For us, Halloween starts on October 13th! The second part of the "Limited Tour 2025" brings Mr. Lordi and his monster crew back to the Z7 in the fall. The Finnish rock sensation brings numerous shock rock classics from three decades and the current horror anthems from their new album "Limited Deadition".

With extravagant live shows that combine the theatricality of classic horror films with rough rock'n'roll feeling and regular album releases, the monster rockers Lordi have been delighting their fans for more than three decades. The band has produced 12 studio albums since its founding in 1992 in Finnish Rovaniemi. With their latest work "Limited Deadition," released in March 2025, Lordi has once again created a fine mix of nostalgia and hard’n’heavy anthems of the most creative kind. "Those who think that the former ESC (Eurovision Song Contest) winners are slowly running out of ideas will be proven wrong by the catchy opener 'Legends Are Made Of Clichés.' As you would expect from Lordi, it’s the rousing choral passages that widen the path to the fans' ear canals right from the start. Fortunately, Mr. Lordi and his ensemble do not deviate for a second from the successful recipe," writes the critic from the Swiss scene magazine Metal Factory. Once again, the sound of the Eighties comes alive, and thematically it can also be placed in that era. The songs pay tribute to the toy culture of the 80s, which is especially close to the heart of frontman Mr. Lordi, who has always had a weakness for collecting action figures and other toys. Of course, preferably in limited editions. With their new masterpiece, Lordi is returning to our hall one and a half years after the acclaimed show of April 2024. The last 120-minute horror spectacle was described by the online magazine Diebuehrers.com: "What has always characterized Lordi? It was the rock songs that invited to celebrate in the style of Kiss and Alice Cooper but also the use of theatrical props and appendages. You won’t spend an evening debating the meaning of Lordi's songs, but that does not stop them from being mind-bogglingly exciting. VINTAGE GUITAR MEETS DOUBLE BASS

Eric Steckel sets new standards. Vintage guitar meets double bass drum, blues meets rock and metal. And what this man extracts from his six strings is out of this world. Steckel's “21st Century Guitar-Driven Blues” is hard to surpass in feeling and intensity. October 15, 2025, is an absolute must for blues enthusiasts, rockers, and blues metal heads!

In an era where pedalboards, laptops, and samples have become commonplace, Californian guitarist Eric Steckel swims against the current and reminds us of the days when guitars were played loudly over great amplifiers. Celebrated by many as the biggest rising star of blues rock, Eric regularly delivers powerful, passionate performances that captivate audiences worldwide. Few young guitarists can boast as impressive a resume as Eric Steckel. His debut album “A Few Degrees Warmer” was recorded live in April 2002 when he was just eleven years old. It didn’t take long for Eric to play at the Sarasota Blues Festival, where his performance quickly became the talk of the day. And before the night was over, the newcomer was introduced by British blues rock legend John Mayall as the youngest guitarist ever to perform on stage with his Bluesbreakers. Steckel is a gifted musician who often records an album almost single-handedly and is responsible for piano, organ, bass, guitars, vocals, and production in the studio. THRASH-DEATH-STORM

East meets West: When the tireless Bay Area thrashers Testament and the pioneering Florida death metal band Obituary meet at Z7 for a co-headliner show, a hefty sound storm will shake our rock temple. Adding the German thrash legends Destruction and the black/death combo Goatwhore from New Orleans as the opener makes for a perfect killer package.

In the summer of 2025, Testament will return with new material. Frontman Chuck Billy stated at the end of 2024: “We stay true to our typical sound – brutal lyrics and death vocals meet melodic hook lines. It sounds like Testament, only with more octane.” Founded in 1983 as Legacy, the Bay Area thrashers have been under the name Testament since 1986 and continue to represent strong live shows and powerful albums to this day. In recent years, they have impressed with "Dark Roots Of The Earth" (2012), "Brotherhood Of The Snake" (2016), and "Titans Of Creation" (2020), which blends classic 80s sound with modern metal. Testament constantly manages to evolve their style without losing their roots. Chuck Billy: “We don't have to follow any trends. The fans thank us for staying true to ourselves – and we want to continue doing that.”

Obituary, founded in 1984 as Executioner, are among the most influential bands of Florida death metal – and they keep getting better. With their 2023 album "Dying Of Everything," they achieved their first top 10 placement in Germany and Switzerland, demonstrating that their songwriting is still at the highest level. The album combines the spirit of early classics like "Slowly We Rot" with the powerful sound they have perfected at their own studio since "Xecutioner's Return" (2007). Songs like the grooving lead single "The Wrong Time," the heavy title track, and the brutal "My Will To Live" showcase Obituary's strength. Track by track, the band reinforces their cult status. The fact that they are delivering perhaps their best material over 30 years after their founding is thanks to their DIY mentality and constant stage presence worldwide.

THE RETURN OF THE DWARF METALLERS

On October 18, 2025, an epic storm of power metal and fantasy will sweep through the Z7 in Pratteln as the Italian dwarf metallers Wind Rose take the stage. They will be supported by special guests Orden Ogan and Angus McSix.

With their new album "Trollslayer" (release date: October 4, 2024), Wind Rose continues their musical journey through the fantastic worlds of J.R.R. Tolkien. Since their founding in 2009 in Pisa, the band has built a loyal fan base with their unique style - a mix of power metal, folk elements, and epic anthems. They made metal history particularly with their viral hit "Diggy Diggy Hole," which reached over 50 million streams. On their biggest European tour to date, they will present anthems like "The Great Feast Underground," the shooter game Deep Rock Galactic-inspired "Rock and Stone," and emotional tracks like "No More Sorrow." Their live shows are a high-energy dwarf festival that alternates between party vibes and profound moments. MELODIC ROCK AND PROG ANTHEMS

For almost forty years, the Canadian rockers Mystery have elegantly merged AOR and Melodic Rock with Neo-Prog drama into a top-class and highly emotional unit. After six long years, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer Michel St-Père and his fantastic band will finally return to Z7 in the autumn of 2025.

Mystery is, alongside Saga and Rush, the third pillar of the top Canadian Prog Rock league. Founded in 1986, the band needed a few years to find their style, but by now, the formation around the versatile multi-instrumentalist and label owner Michel St-Père and the sympathetic frontman Jean Pageau has found a niche that appeals to an ever-growing audience. Mystery celebrates an epic, melodic Prog Rock that is predominantly dreamy, with expansive guitars. Their music is like a landscape: vast and mystical, calming yet immediately captivating the listener. For almost four decades, Mystery has evoked great emotions with their compositions. This is largely due to the fact that the Canadians offer high-quality consensus music of symphonic, expansive rock, elegantly combining AOR, Melodic Rock, tender moments, as well as Prog elements, Neo-Prog drama, and atmospheric instrumental parts. Since 2023, the band has been carrying their latest studio album "Redemption" with them. A work where the band further refines their typical trademarks. From catchy rock songs to heartfelt ballads to monumental Prog anthems, everything is present. In doing so, Mystery never loses themselves in the virtuosity of the individual musicians but always keeps the big picture in mind – and that is the song. The total playing time of 74 minutes is extremely varied. This is not least because the new songs were not exclusively written by mastermind Michel St-Père. Singer Jean Pageau and keyboardist Antoine Michaud are also contributing their own pieces this time.

The return to the spotlight with the "Kriegerin Tour" was a huge success for LaFee. The sounds of her concert on December 19 still resonate in the Z7, as the German-Greek successful singer invites everyone to the next LaFee family reunion. On the occasion of the "Schatten & Licht Tour," there will be new songs, well-known hits, and an artist who radiates passion and energy endlessly on stage in the fall of 2025.

In December 2024, LaFee was finally a guest in Pratteln again after 15 long years for her "Kriegerin Tour." Critics and fans were thrilled. Our chroniclers at diebüehrers.com wrote: "The energy with which LaFee stood on stage was impressive. She presented herself authentically and approachable, repeatedly interacting with her fans, creating an atmosphere marked by shared passion and emotions. Powerful pop beats, captivating guitar riffs, and emotional ballads alternated, making the evening a multifaceted journey through LaFee's musical creation." The singer has returned in a big way, leaving satisfied, beaming faces wherever you looked. And because it was so beautiful, there will be even more LaFee this year. In October 2025, the singer will return to Pratteln with her hits and brand new material.

A tribal "tattoo" on her eye and genuinely honest songs like "Virus," "Prinzesschen," or "Was ist das?" were LaFee's trademarks when she stormed the charts in the German-speaking world in 2006, just 15 years old, with her self-titled debut album. After three times Gold in Germany and Platinum in Austria for "LaFee," her second album "Jetzt erst recht" from 2007 was even more successful than her debut, receiving a Platinum award and featuring lyrics that directly addressed uncomfortable topics such as bullying, violence, or mental health issues. With the following studio album "Ring frei" (2009), LaFee solidified her status as a role model and advocate for girls and young women. The album "Frei," released in 2011, expressed LaFee's transformation from a teenager to a strong woman, who artistically and emotionally matured, dealing with the everyday problems, complexes, and challenges of adolescents and young adults, speaking directly to their souls. With over a million records sold, numerous chart hits, and awards, LaFee remains one of the biggest German teen idols of the 2000s.
