Yes, you read that right, the famous master detective Sherlock Holmes and yours truly, Dr. Watson, have found themselves in the Swabian region. Admittedly, not entirely willingly. However, our genius couldn't turn down the invitation of an old acquaintance, Baroness von Zuckerberg, to a gala dinner once again. So here we are dining just at the time in the adjoining room of the restaurant where you will enjoy a delicious 3-course menu this evening.

While escaping from his chatty table neighbor, the endlessly chattering Swabian baroness, the detective narrowly misses the supposed murder of the hostess's husband, Baron von Zuckerberg.

Well, his health condition wasn't the best anymore. But to suddenly fall forward into the Maultäschlesoup is also not the proper English way to die, even in Swabia. For Sherlock Holmes, however, the otherwise deadly boring evening is saved.

A dialect crime mystery is on the agenda, an extremely tricky case as well, since the investigation results seemingly rule out any influence of poison. The questioning of witnesses, the forensic doctor, and some of the dinner guests makes many an innocent little lamb appear suspicious in the hall. Eager and in high spirits, the famous detective cranks his little gray cells into action. "Swabian cunning" is already spreading, but no false builder can deceive the master so quickly. For him, the solution to the case will soon be clear. As always, however, he keeps us in the dark for a while longer before the murderer is virtuously revealed.

Imagine a tranquil place in beautiful Badnerland. Surrounded by rivers, meadows, and rolling landscapes lies Muggenhofen. This village, far removed from any urban hustle and bustle, exciting nightlife, or hectic activities invites you to find your home in persistent tranquility.

Everything has been running in the same constancy for decades, day after day, year after year, until the day when the widely respected head of the municipality, the mayor of Muggenhofen, is found murdered.
A murder in Muggenhofen? And then the mayor? Chief Inspector Gustav Heberlein is faced with a puzzle. With his suitcase typewriter and lunchbox, he sets out in search of the murderer. Could it be someone from the sworn village community? Was it perhaps a newcomer, a stranger, or even a local resident? What does Eulalia Schreiblinger have to do with the story, and how far is she involved in the machinations of the municipal council?
