Since their founding in 2004, Hämatom have been captivating audiences with their unmistakable mix of provocative lyrics, groovy metal, and Neue Deutsche Härte. Still shouting out their socially critical messages with brute force, precision, and straightforwardness, they reflect on two exciting and tumultuous decades in the music business on the "20 Years Hämatom Anniversary Tour 2024."

Through extensive touring, spectacular performances at festivals like Rockharz, Rock am Stück, or Wacken, and albums with stirring and committed lyrics, the band has built a loyal following over the past years, quickly rising to the top of the leading German rock bands. For a long time, Hämatom drove on the fast lane, steadily increasing their fan base and regularly visiting the charts. The year 2023 started off well – the makeup dates for the "Love & Hate Tour" were a complete success. But on August 15th, the shock came: Hämatom bassist Peter "West" Haag passed away suddenly after a brief, severe illness. The band announced the following day: "Yesterday, our West closed his eyes forever. There are no words that can express our sorrow and disbelief. We shared the stage, passion, and dreams for over 30 years and right now we simply do not know how to ever cope with his loss." Instead of dispersing in all directions, the remaining three members rallied together in the following weeks and declared, "Almost a month has passed since everything around us suddenly became quiet and unimportant. A month in which we cursed life and searched like children for someone to blame for this painful chapter. Still, not a day goes by, not an hour, where we don't think of West and no conversation where we don't exchange stories about him. Nevertheless, there is also a voice inside of us whispering that our world must slowly start moving again. With him in our hearts and thoughts, but it must start turning again." Thus, in 2024, the band will hit the road again to celebrate their 20-year anniversary. For the fans, to distract themselves and of course, to honor the memory of their deceased friend. "Admittedly not without doubt, but we want and must also continue writing our story for him. And because for us a band without West is simply inconceivable, he will remain part of the family. Betontod - Zeig Dich! Tour 24/25

With "Zeig Dich!" the German punk band Betontod wrote the most exciting album of their more than three-decade career last year. Driving, with crashing guitars and killer hooklines. And yet clearly rooted in their own musical socialization somewhere between Sex Pistols, Die Toten Hosen, and Slime. On November 30, the likable anti-rockstars will bring their "Zeig Dich! Tour 2024" to Pratteln to give us a fat lesson in stadium punk in the intimate setting of Z7.

In a balmy summer night in 1990 on a park bench in Rheinberg, five friends decided to start a band. And when five friends want to start a band without mastering any instruments, a music genre is particularly appealing: punk rock. Inspired by bands like the Sex Pistols, Slime, Die Toten Hosen, or Die Goldenen Zitronen, the five guys soon let it really rock under the name Betontod. The band has now released eleven albums, and anyone who has even remotely dealt with German-speaking punk rock in the last three decades could not ignore this formation. Albums like "Traum von Freiheit," "Revolution," "Pace per Sempre," or the released in May 2023 "Zeig Dich!" landed on top positions in the charts. And live, singer Oliver Meister, guitarists Frank "Eule" Vohwinkel and Mario Schmelz, bassist Adam Krosny, and drummer Maik Feldmann have long since arrived in the big concert halls. Even more: Even at the biggest national festivals like Wacken Open Air or Hurricane/Southside, Betontod are among the regular guests and regularly delight tens of thousands of fans. The grindcore, crust-punk, and death metal band Napalm Death was founded in 1981 in Birmingham, England, and played a significant role in the development of the extreme metal genre in its early days. With distinctive sounds such as heavily distorted and down-tuned guitars, crunching overdriven bass, high tempos, blastbeats, extremely concise vocals consisting of growls or high screams, and short songs with socio-political lyrics, Napalm Death has carved out its own sonic territory. Even after exerting an indelible influence on the entire world of heavy music for four decades, there is still no band in the world that sounds like Napalm Death. They not only represent pioneering work but also serve as a constant measure of creativity and fearlessness. The band has influenced nearly every newer extreme style, whether in the guitar or electronic realm. In hard and experimental music of all kinds, the legends from Birmingham continue to charge ahead with full force. Tito & Tarantula are coming back on a European tour. With them, they bring all the hits from over 30 years of career and brand new songs from the eagerly awaited album "Brincamos". We are looking forward to the unique mix of fiery rock, a pinch of punk, psychedelic-bluesy guitar sounds, and the unmistakable, magical voice of the charismatic bandleader Tito Larriva.

With his top-notch band, Tito Larriva will celebrate the rich band repertoire with many well-known classics, many of which are immortalized in cult films, plus songs from the new album "Brincamos" and some rarely heard favorites of the band. Additionally, there will be humorous anecdotes from the exciting life of the versatile frontman. Tito Larriva is a man with many talents. When punk rock was still dirty and exciting in L.A. at the end of the 70s, he was right in the midst of it with bands like The Impalas, The Flesh-Eaters, and The Plugz. He recorded with The Gun Club, switched to blues with The Cruzados, and opened for bands like Fleetwood Mac or INXS. In "True Stories" by David Byrne, he played a psychopath whose favorite song "Radiohead" was later chosen by Thom Yorke as the band name. Films like "Desperado," "Once Upon a Time in Mexico," and "From Dusk Till Dawn" by Robert Rodriguez brought him his most famous roles; the latter being a famous springboard for his Tex-Mex group Tito & Tarantula, whose debut "Tarantism" was released a year after their appearance as the house band of the vampire bar Titty Twister. The band was formed a few years earlier in a very similar environment, as an improvisational session band, open to any mariachi who entered the bar at three in the morning. Seven studio and two live albums later, the group still exudes that spontaneous, infectious groove as soon as they step on stage.

Once again enjoy the big Accept classics with the original voice! Eight years after their last Z7 gig, Dirkschneider brings the hits from Udo's old band back to Pratteln with the "Balls To The Wall - 40th Anniversary Tour."

When Udo Dirkschneider announced nine years ago that he would sing Accept songs one last time, metal fans flocked to honor Udo and the old classics. The "Back To The Roots 2016" tour spanned ten months with dates all over Europe and Japan. The USA and Canada were also overwhelmed by the German metal steamroller in early 2017. The worldwide success was simply overwhelming, and Udo could hardly avoid adding another round. Under the banner Dirkschneider, the little general with the big rasping voice gave fans more highly entertaining lessons in Teutonic metal with "Back To The Roots – Part II."

After eight years, during which the singer visited us three times with his formation U.D.O., he returns to Pratteln with the songs that brought his unmistakable voice to the metal map over four decades ago. This time, the 40-year anniversary of the most successful Accept album of all time is being celebrated. "Balls To The Wall" was awarded precious metal in Canada and the USA and brought other fan favorites such as "London Leatherboys," "Head Over Heels," "Losers And Winners," or the ballad "Winterdreams," alongside the indestructible title track, which still invites everyone to sing along and raise their fists at every rock party. Thundermother - Goddesss Of The Road Tour 2025

Pure energy, wild riffs, and a powerful 70s groove - Thundermother just can't be stopped. With new songs and a fresh spirit, the Swedish hard rock thunderstorm once again unleashes itself over Pratteln. On the "Goddess Of The Road Tour 2025", the four powerful ladies will once again impressively demonstrate that they were born for the rock stage.

In spring 2023, Thundermother faced a massive thunderstorm. As a result, three out of the four musicians had to be replaced. But band founder and guitarist Filippa Nässil soon presented a strong quartet again with singer Linnéa Vikström, drummer Joanna Massing, and returnee Majsan Lindberg on bass. The first shows together showed that Thundermother had not lost any of their intensity. With edges, roughness, and a lot of attitude, the current lineup immediately won the hearts of the fans. With "I Left My License In The Future", the newly formed Thundermother delivered their first joint composition at the end of 2023. "Speaking Of The Devil" followed in January 2024 as the second strike. Filippa Nässil: "The new single was written by Linnéa and me and recorded at the Medley Studios with our longtime producer Søren Andersen. A hard-hitting song that we are all proud of. I can't wait to play the track on our upcoming tour." First samples were presented in spring 2024 on the "15 Years of Rock" tour in Scandinavia. Thundermother has been active in the rock scene for 15 years now and they can look back on an impressive career. Countless tours have taken them all over the world. Axel Rudi Pell - Riesen Symbol Tour 2025

The Z7 regular Axel Rudi Pell will once again be on tour in 2025 with his well-rehearsed band. In the current studio album "Risen Symbol," the likable Bochum perennial delivers top-notch quality work with captivating hooks, a powerful rhythm section, ethereal keyboards, and dreamy guitar sounds.

"I prefer consistent success over many years rather than just a hit album that everyone constantly measures me against," says Axel Rudi Pell. And he should know. After all, his solo career has lasted over three and a half decades. In the international hard rock universe, Pell is a phenomenon. A musician who always flies under the radar but is by no means invisible. An honest craftsman who learned this trade from the ground up. He knows nothing of writer's block and dislikes riding the wave of trends. The classic advertisement also applies to Pell: You know what you have. It's incredible how consistently the musician has released albums since 1989. All have been released by the same record label and have found over 1.5 million buyers worldwide. Ten years ago, dArtagnan completely devoted themselves to the cloak-and-dagger genre. With their current work "Herzblut," the musketeer rockers have struck gold. The sixth studio album from the Franconians is a folk-rock treasure chest filled to the brim with musical riches. On "Herzblut," dArtagnan celebrate their songs overflowing with hope and passion even more powerfully and epically than before. Opening for the "Herzblut Tour 2025," the Croatian band Manntra brings their perfect mix of metal, gothic, folk, and industrial to heat up the fans.

The folk-rockers dArtagnan delivered another masterpiece with "Herzblut" in July 2024. Three merciless Swiss metal bands will ensure a devilishly hot Good Friday at Z7! This co-headline show will be led by the groove-thrashers and Z7 regulars GurD, as well as the "newcomers" Magma Ocean (formerly Molotov Train). As a special guest, there will be a hefty dose of old school death metal from Requiem.
Our "house band" GurD has been around for 30 years! Rising from the ashes of power-thrashers Poltergeist in 1994, the band has evolved into a mix of thrash and groove. In the autumn of 2022, the Basel stalwart led by singer/guitarist V.O. Pulver released a new album after eight years. Metal Hammer wrote: "With 'Hallucinations,' GurD skillfully returns to their roots." We look forward to the return of V.O., Pat, Franky, and Steve with a fat greatest hits program and current tracks from the album "Hallucinations."
"4.5 billion years ago, the Earth was covered by a sea of lava. A single glowing fireball. This is exactly how the music of Magma Ocean is - glowing hot, explosive, and all-consuming." Four out of the five musicians were recently raging through the Swiss metal scene as Molotov Train. At the end of April, the band announced on their social media platforms that they were moving on from the old name and continuing as Magma Ocean with a new singer. The band, with scene veterans from bands like Shakra, Stallion, Maxxwell, or Battalion, has gained a new frontman with the English powerhouse Harry Ballantyne. The new songs "Solitude" and "Price Of Failure" provide a first, promising taste of the infernal sounds of this powerhouse.

Frozen Crown - War Hearts Tour 2025

In October, Frozen Crown delivered a spectacular short performance as the opening act for Kamelot on the Z7 stage. Six months later, they are back with the full power-metal experience. With the "War Hearts Tour 2025", the Milanese formation returns as headliners to our rock temple. Supporting acts Fellowship from England and Lutharo from Canada will get the crowd fired up.

They came, saw, and conquered. Frozen Crown made a bang last on October 26, 2024, as Kamelot's opener at Z7. Metalinside.ch noted: “What the three girls and boys up front unleash on the dance floor hits the body completely from the first minute: One guitar salvo follows another, the drums vibrate noticeably in the stomach. Additionally impressive is the continuously action-filled stage presence during the 30-minute set.” Six months later, it’s the full force of Frozen Crown. With the new power-metal epic "War Hearts," the musicians unleash fresh strength and passion, taking their unmistakable sound of lightning-fast riffs, catchy melodies, and unbridled energy to a whole new level.

Since their formation in 2017, Frozen Crown has built a loyal fan base and impressed with their characteristic blend of power, old-school speed, and heavy metal. But Frozen Crown has not only made an impact in the studio; they have also performed at well-known festivals such as Sabaton Open Air, Metal Fest Plzen, or Rock Imperium Festival. The bombastic metal formation Imperial Age continues to work intensively on their success story. With a new album and new line-up, the band returns to Z7 in 2025 to usher in a new era in their career. In recent years, Imperial Age has caused quite a stir in the international metal scene, received critical acclaim, and gained a steadily growing fan base across several continents. A lot has happened with Imperial Age in recent years. After the band released an anti-war statement in 2022 due to the Ukraine conflict, they left Russia for Turkey. Arena - 30th Anniversary Tour

We are once again celebrating a birthday with Arena. The British neo-proggers have already celebrated their 20th and 25th anniversaries with us. It’s no surprise that they are back for their 30th birthday celebration in our rock temple. The musicians have brought the debut album “Songs From The Lions Cage” from 1995, which will be particularly honored in the current live program. Of course, there will also be other highlights from thirty years of Arena.

Arena has stood for progressive rock of the highest class for three decades. Founded in 1995 by ex-Marillion drummer Mick Pointer and Pendragon keyboardist Clive Nolan, the band initially played in changing line-ups. Only the two founding members can be heard on all albums. While Arena strongly resembled the old Marillion in their early days, the sound gradually evolved more towards metal, similar to what their colleagues in Threshold offer. However, the pronounced atmospheric elements have always been maintained by the band to the delight of the old fans. Guitarist John Mitchell joined the group in 1997. Bassist Kylan Amos has been with them since 2014. The last line-up change occurred five years ago. Ex-Threshold and Ayreon singer Damian Wilson has been acting as Arena's frontman since 2020. Regarding their first joint album “The Theory of Molecular Inheritance“ (2022), Powermetal.de wrote: “The very first run proves that what belongs together is coming together here. Wilson's voice is tailor-made for the progressive rock of Arena, which has earned the label 'Progressive' more through its early works than by extending lengthy pieces in a grand manner these days.” With the tenth studio album in the band's history, Arena also entered the Top 30 of the Swiss charts for the first time in their career in October 2022. On the next tour, Arena will once again look back and reflect on their beginnings. We can expect a reunion with the groundbreaking debut album “Songs From A Lions Cage.” Additionally, a cross-section through various stages of the career of this unique band is to be anticipated. 30 years of Arena will be extensively celebrated in 2025 with 28 dates across Europe and the United Kingdom.

Popa Chubby

IT’S CHUBBY TIME AGAIN

His 2024 tour had to be postponed due to a herniated disc, but in May 2025, Popa Chubby is returning to Switzerland in full form. The legendary blues-rock chunk from the Bronx will present his latest album "Live At G. Bluey’s Juke Joint NYC" with his top-notch Beast Band.

For more than three decades, Popa Chubby has been successfully rocking the blues. His powerful yet virtuosic guitar playing, brilliant songwriting, and especially his innovative style make him a unique representative of his genre. Popa Chubby’s music has been shaped by the influences of his hometown, New York City, and combines blues with rock, rap, and soul. With his razor-sharp, biting guitar and phenomenal songwriting abilities, Popa Chubby artistically links the roots of blues with modern urban elements. The current album "Live At G. Bluey’s Juke Joint NYC" was recorded by Ted Horowitz, as the musician is called by his real name, on October 24 and 25, 2022, in Long Island City, New York. Popa Chubby (guitar and vocals) is supported by his Beast Band, which consists of bassist Mike Merritt (Conan O'Brien, Billy Gibbons), keyboardist Mike Dimeo (Johnny Winter, Tommy James), and drummer Stefano Giudici. "This album is a reunion in several ways," says Popa Chubby. "There’s the reunion with my longtime partner, the exceptional bassist Mike Merritt. Then there are the recordings at the studio of my old sound engineer Glen Forrest, who ensured good sound at my early performances in the legendary Manhattan blues club Manny’s Car Wash in the early '90s," Horowitz recounts. "The icing on the cake was Mike Dimeo on keyboards. And then there's Centurion Stefano Giudici on drums - and you've got the finest heavy blues rock. This album is a live best-of document for eternity!" On the 2025 tour, Chubby will present his current album and will celebrate the wide range of his repertoire on European stages together with the fantastic Beast Band.

The Swiss rockers Shakra are celebrating their 30th anniversary with us on the occasion of the "Three Decades Hard" tour. Three decades in which the band has gone through numerous highs and lows, yet never wavered and created a unique sound universe somewhere between hard rock and metal. Come and let’s toast together with Mark Fox, Thom Blunier, Thomas Muster, Cyril Montavon, and Roger Tanner on this milestone birthday.

30 years of Shakra. Who would have thought it. Only a few bands have the will and endurance to go the distance. But Shakra has successfully navigated their career through all the storms. Despite internal disputes, various lineup changes, an involuntary pandemic break, and constantly changing trends in the music scene, Shakra has always remained on course. Every challenge has only made the band stronger and solidified their will to stay true to themselves. The success backs up the musicians: since 2007, all of the band's studio albums have landed in the top ranks of the Swiss charts. With their latest work "Invincible," Shakra reached the number one position for the second time in their career. The critic from Metal.de was enthusiastic: "The entire album sounds like it was made in one go and can be played repeatedly without becoming boring. Even the ballad 'As I Lay Down To Sleep' does not slow down the euphoric ride but rather creates an urgent desire to stand in front of a stage in a crowd of people and raise a glowing smartphone or, in a very old-fashioned way, a lighter in the air and wave it to the beat." The subsequent tour was indeed a true triumph. The band is better than ever and impresses with their maturity, combined with an ever-present exuberant joy of playing and an increasingly large selection of timeless songs. The future will hopefully bring a lot for the loyal Shakra fans. But in 2025, it is again time to look back. We are already looking forward to a highly motivated band and the full blast of Shakra with anthems from three decades.

Primal Fear - Domination Tour 2025

POWER METAL DOMINANCE

New album, new line-up - the Swabian power metal command Primal Fear will reclaim dominance in the German metal universe in 2025 with the album "Domination". The new record will be presented on September 5, just eleven days later, Mats Sinner and Ralf Scheepers will be joined by their long-time companion Magnus Karlsson and two new band members Thalìa Bellezecca and André Hilgers on their "Domination Tour 2025" at Z7.

Since 1997, Mat Sinner (bass, vocals) and Ralf Scheepers (vocals) have been with Primal Fear, keeping the flag of German power metal high. Fourteen studio and two live albums have been created in the past quarter-century. Most recently, Primal Fear entered the Swiss and German album charts at number 6 with "Code Red" in September 2023. Shortly after the release, the band delivered a celebrated concert at Z7. The band last performed in March 2024 as the opening act for U.D.O. Since then, quite a bit has happened. On August 23, 2024, they parted ways with guitarist Alex Beyrodt. Guitarist Tom Naumann and drummer Michael Ehré then also left the band. But Scheepers and Sinner were not deterred. In their new configuration, they began recording their next studio album "Domination" in the fall. Alongside the well-established guitarist Magnus Karlsson (since 2008), Thalìa Bellezecca (guitarist of our metal hero Angus McSix) and new drummer André Hilgers (ex-Rage, ex-Bonfire) will also be featured on the album. Bassist/vocalist Mat Sinner spoke in September: "We are already in the studio and can choose from about 25 songs, which makes us very happy." And singer Ralf Scheepers added: "It hasn't felt this great to record new songs for a long time, as it does with some of the new pieces." The upcoming album will once again be mixed and mastered by longtime Primal Fear companion Jacob Hansen in his studios in Denmark. The "Domination" album will be released in time for the tour start on September 5, 2025, by Reigning Phoenix Music. It will be produced by Sinner, Scheepers, and Karlsson, who will also perform live with the band again: "I can hardly wait to hit the stage with Primal Fear again. It will be incredible. We will create something very special together. Both live and in the studio. And I am so grateful to share this adventure with you metalheads. Metal is forever!"

Guano Apes - Free The Monkey Tour 2024

With alternative rock hits like "Open Your Eyes" and "Lords Of The Boards", Guano Apes shook up the international music scene in the 90s. Since then, they have traveled the country with unstoppable energy as one of Germany’s most important and successful rock exports. In October 2024, the band will come to Z7 to celebrate their greatest hits and the 30th anniversary of Guano Apes with their Swiss fans.

In March 1998, Guano Apes created a stir in Switzerland for the first time over three consecutive days – at ISC Bern, Luv Zurich, and Bolgenschanze Davos. Those who attended one of the gigs remember a whirlwind in the shape of Sandra Nasic, captivating everyone present. Her three bandmates rocked until the sweat was pouring and it was dripping from the ceiling. This live energy and the explosive mix of hard sounds with catchy melodies, along with Nasic’s impressive voice, made an impact. The album "Proud Like A God" went through the roof. It sold around three million copies worldwide and is still considered the most successful English-language debut album of a German rock band. A career launch of epic proportions.

Henning Rümenapp, Dennis Poschwatta, Stefan Ude, and Sandra Nasic produced an album in 1997 with youthful carefreeness in the Göttingen area, which subsequently led to a triumphal march through the rock charts of the world, giving a voice to Generation X and starting a career that has now lasted three decades. Nasic became the first and loudest woman in the genre, with "Open Your Eyes" and "Lords Of The Boards" becoming global anthems. The band received several platinum and gold awards, an Echo, and the MTV Europe Music Award for "Best German Act" - to name just a few accolades. But that was just the beginning. The following three albums consistently topped the German charts. More single hits followed, such as "Pretty In Scarlet", "Big In Japan", "You Can't Stop Me", and "Sunday Lover". In autumn 2024, the Guano Apes, still operating in their original formation, will return to Switzerland to properly celebrate the 30th birthday of their band with the fans.
