In 2026, Watts will celebrate half a century of music on stage with Fischer-Z: The “50th Anniversary Tour” offers a best-of set featuring highlights from the band's rich repertoire, supplemented with current tracks.

2026 will be a big year for Fischer-Z. The band was founded 50 years ago by singer, guitarist, and poet John Watts in the English town of Sandhurst. Under his leadership, Fischer-Z became a staple of the New Wave and post-punk scene in the late 70s and early 80s. With classics like “The Worker,” “So Long,” “Marliese,” “Red Skies Over Paradise,” and “Room Service,” the band has profoundly influenced several generations of music lovers. Fischer-Z were successful across Europe and sold over two million albums. They collaborated with Peter Gabriel, Steve Cropper, and Dexys Midnight Runners. They performed alongside James Brown in East Berlin and toured with The Police and Dire Straits. They also accompanied Bob Marley on his last festival tour across Europe and toured in the USA and Canada. In 1982, Watts disbanded Fischer-Z to pursue a solo career. He revived the name Fischer-Z in 1987 with a new lineup. John Watts has since released 26 albums and played around 4000 concerts with his band or as a solo artist. New material continues to be released regularly. Most recently, “Triptych” was released in May 2024. The current Fischer-Z studio album marks a return to familiar sounds and themes with new freshness and provides an impressive retrospective of John Watts' life and previous career. Watts has found, as a constantly reinventing artist, that many of his works over the last 50 years of his musical career repeatedly address the same driving themes that are just as relevant today as they were 50 years ago: Love, Power, People - and how they interact with one another. They are the undisputed kings of British prog metal. Founded in 1988 by guitarist Karl Groom in Southern England, Threshold has always been a unique endeavor. Driven by youthful confidence and enthusiasm, the band quickly developed into Britain’s leading force in the realm of progressive metal. Now, nearly four decades have passed, and Threshold continues to hold strong at the top of the scene. From early works like “Wounded Land” (1993) and “Psychedelicatessen” (1994) to the triumph of more recent successful albums like “For The Journey” (2014) and “Legends Of The Shires” (2017), and most recently “Dividing Lines” (2022), the band has continually demonstrated their impressive songwriting qualities, which have never been swayed by fleeting trends. Thus, the band remains a driving institution within the genre.

In 2001, Threshold released one of their most important albums with their fifth studio full-length “Hypothetical.” Metal.de was inspired by what they heard to write a superlative review: “'Hypothetical' is the best progressive metal album I have come across in two years. Even the last Ayreon double album falls short in comparison. Yet 'Hypothetical' is by no means a CD solely for musicians. For over 30 years, Clawfinger has belonged to the top tier of the international crossover scene. With their hits, they have shaped the scene like hardly any other band. On Halloween Saturday, the Swedish-Norwegian genre pioneers will come to our concert venue with their new studio album "Before We All Die" and numerous hits from their long career.

Clawfinger burst onto the international music scene in 1993 with a loud bang. Their debut album "Deaf Dumb Blind" became a worldwide success with tracks like "Nigger," "The Truth," and "Warfair," and is still considered a groundbreaking milestone today. Clawfinger not only created a new music style with their mix of metal, rap, and electronic elements but also addressed socially critical and unvarnished issues in their songs: Clawfinger managed to speak to an entire generation's soul. Today, the profound hit factory of the crossover scene enjoys absolute cult status. The last album "Life Will Kill You" is already 18 years old, but now there is finally new material: "Before We All Die" (Release February 20, 2026) is the name of the new studio record. Frontman Zak Tell is back with hard-hitting lyrics: "This is not about peace. This is about spreading the truth, no matter how terrible it may be. And that's exactly why we do it." Clawfinger addresses topics such as environmental destruction, political hypocrisy, and personal disillusionment up to collective denial on "Before We All Die." "This album consists of one-third protest, one-third therapy, and one-third middle finger," he adds. Already the first single "Scum" clearly shows the direction they are going. The band criticizes corrupt leaders, feigned morality, and the growing mob driven by right-wing ideologies. Zak: "'Scum' is a raw, loud, and brutally honest punk-rap track that hits hard. It targets those who are selfish, sexist, and narcissistic and won’t stop talking. With razor-sharp lyrics and a beat like a punch to the face, 'Scum' says exactly what we think about those guys who should just disappear. The song is immensely angry, dark, and direct. Black Sabbitch - All Female Black Sabbath Tribute

"We don't just want to play Black Sabbath, we want to feel Black Sabbath from the bottom of our hearts." With this intent, the American all-female formation Black Sabbitch returns to Z7 two years after their celebrated Swiss premiere to once again immerse us in the early songs of the British metal pioneers deep into the seventies.

Black Sabbitch is not an ordinary tribute band. The four ladies from the USA impress even die-hard Sabbath devotees and have earned the respect of critics and musicians alike. They were personally invited by Sharon Osbourne to open for Ozzy. They rocked on the iconic Kiss-Cruise, as well as at the legendary Cal Jam with Iggy Pop and the Foo Fighters. Dave Grohl shortly thereafter shared photos of the band's performance on his social media channels and wrote, "We were fascinated and listened intently." By now, Black Sabbitch has become a true festival favorite, regularly performing with some of the biggest acts in the world or thrilling Black Sabbath fans at their intense club shows. They often present varying setlists consisting of all-time classics and long-forgotten gems from the iconic Ozzy phase of the legends from the working-class city of Birmingham. "We are not an ordinary tribute band. We are the female Black Sabbath," confidently states Angie Scarpa, the drummer of Black Sabbitch. Founded fourteen years ago in LA, the musicians do not simply want to cover Black Sabbath's songs. "Since I have always been a huge fan of the band, I didn't want to just play covers in another boring ‘Hey, we sound like their records’ band. It had to feel right from the start. Just like it must have felt to see and hear Black Sabbath in 1972." With their concerts, the ladies regularly manage to transport their fans back to the seventies. With songs from the early days, when Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward traveled from the West Midlands to the wide world to make music history with their innovative, heavy, and dark rock sound. In the summer of 2013, Black Sabbitch played their very first show in West Hollywood. Since then, the quartet has been regularly touring the USA. In 2022, they expanded their activities to the UK, and in 2024, they performed at Wacken and played additional dates on the European mainland, including the Swiss premiere at Z7. Diebuehrers.com judged the performance in November 2024: "With strong stage presence and enormous musical ability, they powerfully showcased the dark and heavy sounds of songs like ‘War Pigs’ and ‘Children of the Grave’" and "the audience celebrated every minute of this intense set."

With the melodic rock hits of their debut album "Double Eclipse," the band Hardline gained cult status in the early 90s. Singer Johnny Gioeli has continued the legacy of the AOR band with changing musicians ever since. In November 2026, Hardline will revisit old and new songs once again at Z7. Supporting them will be Sevi from Bulgaria, who have shared the stage with Hardline multiple times in Pratteln, leaving a fantastic impression.

With the album "Double Eclipse," Hardline established a monument in 1992. With the highest musical quality, fantastic melodies, a unique voice, and the perfect blend of power and emotion, Hardline delivered a milestone of AOR with their debut. Every song has hit potential and still makes the hearts of melodic hard rock fans race today. The lineup from the '92 album is long gone, but powerhouse vocalist Johnny Gioeli has repeatedly revived the band and carried on the legacy with changing musicians. The former all-star project has now become a proper band. Since the release of the album "Danger Zone" in 2012, Hardline has offered a straightforward, riff-based melodic hard rock sound, representing a continuous evolution of their musical offerings. Performed by a group of musicians who have become a unity, each member contributes their personality and strengths to the anthemic rock songs. In November, we present the fattest Metalcore package of the year 2026. The relentless tour convoy is led by the scene giants ERRA and Currents, who together form the spearhead of this tour as co-headliners. While ERRA sets another milestone in their career with the new album "Silence Outlives The Earth," Currents delivers the perfect counterpoint of hardness and atmosphere with their current EP "All That Follows." Supporting acts Caskets and Aviana will ensure multiple coregasms.

ERRA:
Founded in 2009 in Birmingham, Alabama, ERRA represents modern progressive metalcore with technical finesse and plenty of atmosphere. Heavy riffs collide with melodic vastness and the switch between screams and clean vocals. With songs like "Echo Sonata" and "Further Eden," they gave an early glimpse into their new album "Silence Outlives The Earth" (Release: March 6, 2026). The album feels at times more open and emotional, without losing intensity – another strong step in the band's development.

CURRENTS:
The US band Currents combines dark metalcore with djent elements, massive breakdowns, and melodic parts. The New Roses from Wiesbaden are back at Z7 with their exhilarating stadium rock anthems. Finest 80s groove and plenty of live energy guaranteed. Supporting them are the rising French glam rockers Harsh, bringing endless Sunset Strip vibes.

The New Roses are among the most successful German rock acts, achieving chart success and heavy rotations on rock stations in Germany and Great Britain with their albums and singles for years. After performances at international festivals such as Wacken, Hellfest, or Sweden Rock, and shows with big names like Kiss, ZZ Top, Black Stone Cherry, Joe Bonamassa, or Die Toten Hosen, as well as tours with artists like the Scorpions, Saxon, Accept, and Tremonti, along with countless club shows as headliners, The New Roses are now familiar to every fan of refined 80s rock. The quartet from the Hessian capital also entered the legendary Kiss Cruise in 2018 and 2019 as the first German band. So far, the band has released six acclaimed albums. With hearty rock songs and dreamy ballads, Nazareth has made a name for themselves worldwide over the last 58 years. Since the end of 2025, a Swiss frontman has breathed new life into the veteran band: Basel's Gianni Pontillo is the new voice of the Scots. He looks forward to an extremely emotional home game at the Pratteler rock temple.

Founded in 1968 in the Scottish town of Dunfermline, Nazareth is counted among the first hard and heavy generation of music history alongside colleagues like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, and Black Sabbath. With nearly 60 million records sold worldwide, Nazareth is, alongside Simple Minds, the most successful music group from Scotland internationally. At the helm since last December is Gianni Pontillo. The Basel native has made a name for himself over the past thirty years with bands like Pure Inc, The Order, Fun Halen, Pontillo & The Vintage Crew, and most recently with the German heavy rockers Victory. Now, with Nazareth, the next career step follows. Bassist Pete Agnew, the last remaining original member of the rock institution, contacted Gianni for the first time at the end of 2025. "Pete personally called me after someone from the scene had sent him a video of me. I could hardly believe it. The cult band Nazareth. The legendary co-founders of hard rock. I have known and loved this band since my childhood. I saw my parents dancing to 'Love Hurts' in the living room, and they even had a 'Greatest Hits' record by Nazareth in their vinyl collection."

Meanwhile, Nazareth has already played several concerts with Pontillo, and the newcomer feels perfectly at home in his new role: "It's just great! The guys from the band, the crew, and the whole environment are really awesome. Respect is the be-all and end-all here. You rarely find that in the music business these days." The fans' reactions are also very positive. "I have already met a lot of die-hard fans, and all are very happy with me as the new frontman. They have already shared some exciting stories about the band and the original singer Dan McCafferty." Interpreting Nazareth's timeless classics brings Pontillo great joy. When asked about personal favorites, he responds: "I actually like all the songs. But 'Hair Of The Dog' and 'Whiskey Drinkin’ Woman' are two absolute highlights. One has a really cool rock groove, the other is a killer blues number with a very funny lyric. Pete and I sing here in unison, and our voices simply harmonize perfectly." In November, Pontillo will come to Pratteln with his new band for the first time. A very special moment for the singer: "The Z7 is my home, I practically grew up with the venue. Here I attended my very first concert and have often played in the supporting act of great bands. The place is legendary, the sound is top-notch, and the whole team is just amazing. I’m already looking forward to this concert. It will be very emotional, as friends and family will all be there. It will be a great celebration."

The NY hardcore legends Pro-Pain are back in action. For the 35th anniversary of the formation, guitarist Eric Klinger has returned. With the album "Stone Cold Anger," there is finally new Pro-Pain music again. The hefty new record shows that the band led by singer/bassist Gary Meskil has lost none of its original force and unrestrained rage from its early days.

Surpassing themselves with each new album is probably the biggest challenge for a band. Especially when eleven years have passed since the last release and the predecessor made quite an impact. To achieve this ambitious goal, Pro-Pain has brought back their old guitarist Eric Klinger. And even the two advance singles from the new album "Stone Cold Anger" (release: May 15, 26) have shown that Pro-Pain need not worry about their reputation as an exceptional presence in the New York hardcore scene. Since their groundbreaking debut album "Foul Taste Of Freedom," which was nominated for various awards in the early nineties, the uncompromising group led by band founder Gary Meskil has earned the affection and respect of countless fans around the world and is rightly considered a true hardcore metal legend today. All albums are hard to surpass in intensity, inspiration, and honesty. And the latest offering is no exception. After the long release hiatus, the hardcore heavyweights are back with album number 16 in a loud way. On their label debut at Napalm Records, the scene icons show themselves from their most explosive side: "Stone Cold Anger" is, as the title suggests, angry and weighs a ton. Pro-Pain has lost none of their power. ZOMBIE-METAL IN Z7

Fascinating storytelling, brilliant songwriting, and musical skill: with these ingredients, the Nuremberg-based Dominum conquered the metal scene three years ago. In December 2026, Dr. Dead and his zombies will present their unrestrained power metal with horror appeal for the first time as headliners on our stage. They will bring their new third album (Release: July 2026) along on tour.

The Nuremberg power metal sensation Dominum burst onto the scene in 2023 with a bang: they immediately reached the top 20 of the German album charts with their debut album "Hey Living People" and won a lot of fans with their horror-inspired lyrics, powerful compositions, vibrant covers of Dead or Alive, Billie Eilish, or Midnight Oil, and theatrical performances. The mastermind behind the project is singer Felix Heldt, who has made a name for himself as a songwriter and producer for bands like Feuerschwanz and Visions Of Atlantis. As Dominum's frontman Dr. Dead, he takes listeners into the world of the undead and tells stories of zombies, the struggle for survival, and an insatiable greed for more. With the debut album, Dominum conquered European stages as a support act for scene giants such as Bruce Dickinson, Avantasia, Feuerschwanz, and Peyton Parrish or through celebrated festival shows in front of tens of thousands of fans. At the end of 2024, the second installment followed. The zombie metal combo unleashed the undead again with "The Dead Don't Die" and climbed this time into the top 10 of the charts. In addition to ten new tracks, Dominum served a fat cover version of the Scorpions' belter "Rock You Like A Hurricane." With their two albums, Dominum was also regularly seen in Pratteln over the past few years. In December 2023, they presented themselves in the opening act for the Apocalyptic Riders for the first time to fans. In December 2024, they were guests with Feuerschwanz again. In December 2025, the next performance followed as a special guest of Battle Beast. Death Angel celebrate the 35th anniversary of their cult album "Act III" with an exclusive complete performance and bring along Vio-Lence, another pioneer of the legendary thrash metal movement, to Z7. Two cult bands, two decades of music history, and an evening full of high-speed riffs, mosh pit guarantee, and Bay Area spirit.

Since their founding in 1982, Death Angel have been one of the most influential bands in the legendary Bay Area thrash scene. With uncompromising riffs, technical precision, and unstoppable live energy, the Californians still belong to the international forefront of the genre more than four decades later. After their reunion in 2001, the band entered a second, highly successful career phase with critically acclaimed albums such as "The Art Of Dying," "The Dream Calls For Blood," "The Evil Divide," or the Grammy-nominated "Humanicide." In 2025, Death Angel made a powerful comeback with the new singles "Wrath (Bring Fire)" and "Cult Of The Used." However, the current tour focuses on a very special anniversary: For the 35th birthday of their classic "Act III," the album will be performed live in full length at Z7 for the first time. The setlist will be complemented by selected highlights from the band's entire history – an absolute celebration for all thrash metal fans.

Vio-Lence have been one of the most important trailblazers of the second wave of thrash metal since the mid-eighties. Under the headline "We Will Folk You," the Eisheilige Nacht 2026 is marked by a special friendship: SUBWAY TO SALLY and FIDDLER’S GREEN have been shaping the folk and rock scene in the German-speaking world for about 35 years. Both bands have found their own ways to blend traditional sounds with modern rock energy – one with medieval and folk metal, the other with Irish speed folk. On tours and festivals, their paths have crossed time and again, turning colleagues into allies and finally into close friends.

In 2026, SUBWAY TO SALLY and FIDDLER’S GREEN will share the top of the line-up and make it clear together what the evening is going to be: a single, big, loud, danceable explosion. The hosts SUBWAY TO SALLY will delve deep into their now multi-decade spanning discography and combine classics with newer songs. THE VIKINGS ARE COMING

Týr embark on their next adventure with their own record label and a new album. In December, the Faroese musicians return to Switzerland with their melodic progressive folk metal anthems. Even on their tenth album, Týr does not shy away from new influences, but remains loyal to their unmistakable Viking-Prog. Pack your drinking horns and get ready to roar old and new sing-along numbers at the top of your lungs.

In January 2025, Týr wrote on their social media channels after their performance at the revived Paganfest at Z7: "Pratteln! We have played so many times in your wonderful venue, Z7, but this was definitely the best time we have ever had there." Bueheres.com were on-site at Paganfest and reflected on Týr's performance as follows: "The majestic melodies and powerful vocals of Heri Joensen completely captivated the audience. Particularly impressive was how synchronously the band combined their multi-part harmonies with the sonorous guitar arrangements. Songs like 'Blood of Heroes' ignited enthusiasm that swept both long-time fans and newcomers alike. The atmosphere during the performance was electrifying and made the hall practically boil." This is expected to be topped in December 2026, when Týr returns as headliners of a fine folk-metal package to Z7. With their unique blend of heavy metal and Faroese ballads, a melodically harmonious variant of folk/viking metal and progressive influences, Týr has carved out a unique niche in the metal universe since their debut in 2002. Particularly notable within the genre is the permanent use of clean vocals and the absence of any growls. This music style is now referred to in the Faroe Islands as kvæðamálmur (ballad-metal). Their themes are rooted in Norse mythology, with lyrics primarily in Faroese or English. In recent years, the band has toured the world with their anthems: among other things, they joined Children Of Bodom through North America or sailed in true Viking fashion on the 70,000 Tons Of Metal Cruise. This year marks the release of the band’s tenth album, the first on their own label. Earlier this year, Týr announced that they want to take their musical destiny into their own hands so that the rights to their songs will forever belong 100% to the band. Germany's melodic power institution Orden Ogan is set to provide a strong start to the concert year 2027. The new tour will kick off on January 7th in Munich, one day after the release of the new album "Lords Of The Grave". With two consecutive top-3 albums ("Final Days" and "The Order of Fear"), a nearly completely sold-out headline tour in 2025, and massive festival shows that have long reached headliner level, Orden Ogan is among the dominating forces of modern Power Metal. Hardly any band in the scene combines epic storytelling, monumental live shows, and such a loyal fan base at this level. After their joint tour with Wind Rose, Orden Ogan is now announcing their biggest and most ambitious concert tour to date: the "Tour Of The Grave". The new album marks the next stage of development for the band. Musically, "Lords Of The Grave" continues the course uncompromisingly: darker, heavier power metal interspersed with massive walls of guitars, sublime melodies, and choruses made for arenas. What to expect from the upcoming tour is explained by Sebastian "Seeb" Levermann: "An even more epic show than ever before. U.D.O. - Triple Anniversary Tour 2027

UDO IN CELEBRATION MOOD

Udo Dirkschneider is celebrating a triple anniversary in 2027! 75 – 40 – 20 is the magic formula: The German metal legend turns 75, his formation U.D.O. has been around for 40 years, and in the anniversary year, he will release album number 20. With the “Three Times Anniversary Tour,” U.D.O. will come to Pratteln in January to celebrate a big party with the Swiss fans.

Actually, Udo Dirkschneider was supposed to follow in his father’s footsteps and take over the family tool factory in Wuppertal. But as his musical commitment grew stronger, he had to make a decision at a young age: “Take over the company, or step into madness – so I stepped into madness.” Luckily for all metal fans. With his bands Accept, U.D.O., or Dirkschneider, the singer has written music history over the last five decades and has become the epitome of the Teutonic metal frontman. Since the 80s, his distinctive voice has shaped countless metal classics. Udo is a true icon of the genre, continually redefining its history. This is also true in 2027. A big year for the musician, as Udo will celebrate his 75th birthday on April 6. He gives himself the best gift. With his formation U.D.O., he will deliver - just in time for the tour kick-off - the twentieth studio album since the band's founding in 1987. The “Three Times Anniversary” release tour will once again bring Udo and his fellow musicians to us at Z7 in January. One thing is clear, when Dirkschneider stands on our stage, it will be anthemic, brutal, and authentically over the top. For the last U.D.O. gig with the top-ten album “Touchdown,” Tinu from Metal Factory wrote: “They came, played, and tore the place apart. It was a great evening for a seasoned band that still has a hell of a lot to say in metal.”

As the singer of Nightwish and After Forever, Floor Jansen has thrilled the symphonic metal world over the last three decades. With her first solo venture "Paragon," the Dutchwoman proved that she belongs to one of the strongest and most versatile voices in the entire music scene worldwide. In spring 2027, Floor Jansen will come to Pratteln with her second solo album.

She started her career in 1997 with After Forever, one of the first symphonic metal bands ever, and eventually became the outstanding frontwoman of the Finnish multi-platinum sellers Nightwish in 2013. Today, Floor Jansen enjoys the reputation as one of the best singers in the world and attracts attention with her powerful, emotional, and versatile singing style that spans various musical genres. The classically trained soprano masters everything from enchanting clear vocals to powerful belting and rough shouting to growling. Besides her work with After Forever and Nightwish, the singer has also made numerous guest appearances with colleagues like Sabaton, Ayreon, Devin Townsend, Epica, and Avantasia. In 2026, the singer will use the break from Nightwish to increasingly perform as a solo artist on stage. Two shows as support for Sabaton are planned for May, several festival appearances are scheduled for summer, and in autumn she will return to the stage for two exclusive club gigs in the Netherlands. The concerts at the end of October in Groningen and the beginning of November in Amsterdam will kick off a tour with new material, which will also take Floor to Z7 in January. The successor to her first solo album "Paragon" (2023) is in the starting blocks and is said to sound like the Floor that fans of Nightwish know and love. Additionally, she intends to play the songs from her debut "Paragon" at the upcoming concerts in an enhanced and "metalized" version. Sounds like a perfect evening for fans of Nightwish, After Forever, and the unique powerhouse voice of Floor Jansen.

The great Teutonic metal parade is rolling in. Led by the Ruhrpott legends Grave Digger, a massive, loud, and uncompromising metal package is coming to Pratteln in January 2027. As a special guest, Motorjesus will join with their high-octane metal. To kick things off, there will be hard riffs and crazy double-bass inferno from Warwolf.

Steel is being forged once again. In 2027, German heavy metal makes a powerful return to the stages of Europe. Under the banner "Legends Never Die," three mighty forces unite for a package that makes metal hearts beat faster. At the center is the cult band Grave Digger. With pioneering albums and unique anthems, Grave Digger has been one of the most defining and influential bands in the German metal scene since the early 80s. And even after more than four and a half decades in the relentless business, there are no signs of fatigue. Chris Boltendahl, Jens Becker, Marcus Kniep, and Tobias Kersting remain a serious force in the live sector, regularly releasing high-quality albums. With "Bone Collector," Grave Digger released their first album in January 2025 completely without keyboard passages. With new axeman Tobias Kersting, the band returns to long-forgotten trademarks. Raw, brutal, honest, and yet catchy, songs like "Bone Collector" or "Made Of Madness" thunder out of the speakers. The Motocultor Across Europe Tour returns in winter 2027 with full force. Led by the Italian symphonic power metal legends Rhapsody Of Fire, who are celebrating their 30th anniversary with a very special setlist, the tour package promises an epic journey through the European metal landscape. Special guests Serious Black are also on board.

From January 7 to February 6, 2027, the Motocultor Across Europe Tour will travel through eleven countries, once again bringing a carefully curated selection of international metal acts to the stage. At the center are Rhapsody Of Fire, who for three decades have represented majestic symphonic power metal, cinematic orchestrations, heroic stories, and breathtaking musicality. For the anniversary, fans can look forward to a special setlist that takes them through the key chapters of the band's history and celebrates the great anthems of the Italians in a fitting manner. As special guests, Serious Black will add extra pressure. The international melodic metal formation combines powerful riffs, modern production, and catchy choruses into an energetic sound that fits perfectly into this package. Wishbone Ash - Wishbone Ash

ROCK HISTORY IM Z7

Wishbone Ash are undoubtedly one of the most influential bands in the entire history of rock. With their unique dual-lead guitar sound, the English band has had a lasting impact on colleagues from Thin Lizzy to Iron Maiden. Almost a year after their last show at Z7, the lineup led by original singer and guitarist Andy Powell returns to Pratteln with songs from nearly six decades of band history.

They are a Z7 favorite. Wishbone Ash has performed here eleven times since 2010, and we can't get enough. In February 2024, the band visited us with their "Live Dates 50th Anniversary" tour, in January 2025 there was already the next full dose of Wishbone Ash at Z7, and in February 2026, the fantastic live band from Torquay, England returned to Pratteln with their "The Time Was Tour" to delight their fans with an captivating show and a setlist of all-time favorites. Founded in 1969, Wishbone Ash is now led by the two lead guitarists Andy Powell (the last remaining original member) and Mark Abrahams (who joined in 2017). Bassist Bob Skeat, who has been part of the band for three decades, sets the pace with drummer Windsor McGilvray, who joined the band in 2026. Over the years, the band has experimented with various musical styles, from folk, blues, and jazz to pedal-to-the-metal rock and electronics. But no matter the style – Wishbone Ash's trademark remains the unmistakable sound of the two lead guitars that influenced bands like Thin Lizzy, Judas Priest, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Iron Maiden, and even Opeth. There is probably no other band that has made more of the twin-guitar concept than Wishbone Ash. Live, the band is still a force: Andy Powell continues to perform on stage with unrestrained joy and expertly leads his band through a nearly two-hour journey through the rich back catalog of Wishbone Ash. In the last show, our house chroniclers at Diebüehrers.com wrote: "Musically, the quartet effortlessly bridged the gap between early classics and later material. The unmistakable twin-guitar sound of Powell and Mark Abrahams was always at the forefront, creating goosebump moments as the two guitar lines elegantly intertwined." The convincing conclusion was: "Without grand effects, but with a lot of passion and skill, the band impressively demonstrated why they have been an inspiring presence in live music for over five decades. ROCK RADIO HITS THAT GET UNDER YOUR SKIN

Since the release of their debut album in 2006, the alternative rockers Takida have been living in the fast lane. With their mainstream-ready rock radio material, the band initially won over their home country and eventually all of Scandinavia. Ever since the release of the 2024 album "The Agony Flame," the multi-Platinum musicians have been convincing rock fans across Europe with their catchy songs.

They lead radio airplay charts, perform in increasingly larger venues, and bring their unmistakable sound to a continuously growing fan base. The Swedish multi-Platinum group Takida is rushing from success to success. In 2023, the band embarked on their biggest tour to date, taking them through sold-out arenas in their home country and onto major festival stages throughout Europe, including one of the main stages at Wacken Open Air. Their "Smoke & Mirrors" tour in April 2024 continued the success story with sold-out shows in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. With the latest album "The Agony Flame," their recognition increased even further. The band also made its debut on the Swiss charts with this album. The long player once again embodies the unmistakable Takida sound with its infectious, anthemic choruses. Singer Robert Pettersson presents himself in absolutely top form. With "The Lonliest Hour," the first song from the album, released as a standalone single beforehand and directly entering at number 1 on the German Rock Radio airplay charts, Takida also achieved their biggest radio success to date. With strong and emotional songs like "Your Blood Awaits You," "Third Strike," and "On The Line," "The Agony Flame" offers further hit candidates. The songs elevate Takida's thrilling live sets to the next level. And now, the band announces their return to Pratteln in spring 2027. Diebuehrers.com wrote about the last live show of the Swedes at Z7: "From the first note, the atmosphere among the fans was excellent, and there was no holding back. With hits like ‘Master’ and ‘Losing,’ the crowd went wild. The powerful voice of Robert Petterson gave the songs an unimaginable intensity. Fans enjoyed the set from the first to the last note. Amorphis - Borderlands Tour 2027

Nordic melancholy meets progressive soundscapes and healthy strength: the cult band Amorphis comes to Pratteln with their unique blend of melodic death metal, folk, epic melodies, powerful metal anthems, and atmospheric sounds. On the “Borderland Tour 2027”, the Finns will present their current album. The supporting acts are Insomnium and Unto Others.

Since the 90s, Amorphis has been one of the most influential bands in their genre. With albums like “Tales From The Thousand Lakes” and “Queen of Time,” they have continuously developed their unmistakable sound, combining powerful riffs with profound lyrics often inspired by Finnish mythology. Fans of demanding, modern metal sounds will be well catered for here. On the ongoing tour, Amorphis presents their latest album “Borderline,” which was created in their first collaboration with Danish producer Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Amaranthe, Epica, Evergrey, among others). Esa Holopainen states: “Amorphis has an unmistakable sound and a unique approach to making music. Six strong personalities in the band certainly bring their own challenges to the production process – especially for the producer. Jacob was chosen for several important reasons: He has already worked with an impressively diverse array of artists and is an incredibly calm, creative, and resourceful producer.” The result sounds fantastic. Band leader Esa Holopainen seems to have an endless supply of brilliant melodies. Metal1.info writes: “The first association with ‘Borderland’ is joy of playing: when you hear these songs for the first time, you can directly envision the euphoria on the faces of the musicians as they work on these songs, playing the riffs, solos, choruses, bridges, and more. The fact that Amorphis dares to try one or two experiments greatly enriches ‘Borderland,’ but what’s more crucial is that the Finns have rethought established elements: Amorphis sounds unmistakably like themselves on ‘Borderland’ – yet also at times more melodic, at times heavier, and above all more compelling than ever before.” The Metal Hammer critic gives the top rating and concludes his review as follows: “This band sounds more Finnish than the Finnish national anthem and will surely be declared a national cultural asset soon.”

DELAIN DIFFERENT THAN BEFORE

DELAIN will open a new chapter in 2027 and present an extraordinary concert format on stage. Together with Marko Hietala and other guests, a unique live experience will be created that connects the past and future of the band. Fans can look forward to a special evening beyond a classic tour show.

For over two decades, DELAIN has established itself as a major force in modern melodic metal. Since the debut album "Lucidity," the band has represented a distinctive blend of catchy melodies, orchestral arrangements, and powerful guitars. Albums like "April Rain," "We Are the Others," and "The Human Contradiction" have shaped this journey, while "Dark Waters" (2023) marked the band's biggest success yet with top-10 placements in Germany and the US Hard Music Charts. Behind the band is mastermind Martijn Westerholt, who founded DELAIN after leaving Within Temptation and has been continuously developing it since.

In February 2027, DELAIN will embark on a special concept tour: instead of a classic show, the audience can expect a specially curated live format with changing high-profile guests and musical surprises. At the center of this is also the renewed collaboration with Marko Hietala, whose shared past has produced some of the most significant moments in the band's history. Other contributors will be announced at a later date. Simultaneously, the band is working on new material set to be released before the tour, marking the beginning of this new phase.
